Palm Oil Business
Our Palm Oil Business is executed by our subsidiary, PT WSI Agro Supergene. The company has been appointed as the sole representative of IRHO Supergene Development Pte. Ltd. distributor of Supergene Hybrid Palm Oil Seeds which has superior novel characteristics.
This supergene palm seeds is in the process for obtaining license from the Ministry of Agriculture of The Republic of Indonesia. The process has been started from 2003. By laws, the seed has to be licensed first before it can be distributed freely in Indonesia. The process is anticipated to be finished within 4-6 years, however, the company has started to plant pilot projects in North Sumatera and Palembang.
The company has working together with the Ministry of Agriculture to develop the supergene palm in Indonesia. The Minister, Dr. Ir. Anton Apriantono,Msc himself has supported the seed to be developed in Indonesia. This to anticipate the Malaysia-Indonesia border plantation project. The Minister is appointed as the project leader by His Exellence Mr President, Dr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
To anticipate the large demand of the seeds, the company has established cooperation with various government owned and private legal entities, associations, and unions all over Indonesia. The distribution channel has been established via palm nursery projects and network of representatives throughout Indonesia.
The company also in the process to secure 20.000 Ha land in Riau for the future plantation project. Eventhough we are now focusing on the Riau project, there are still lots of cooperation proposals addresed to us to open plantations in Jambi, Lampung, East Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, and Papua.
Coal and Mineral Trading
Our coal and mineral trading business is executed by our subsidiary, PT WSI Resources Indonesia, which is focusing it's resources in expanding it's natural resource and energy trading business, mainly in coal, iron ore, manganese, and precious metals. We have extend our network to the heart of Hong Kong - PRC trading industry. Therefore we are able to directly market the commodities to the end user. This can avoid uneccesary delays and misunderstandings, also to cut cost of transaction.
The company has successfully secured sourcing agreement with reputable mining companies in Indonesia.
Mining Development
We have also established a strong network in mining industry. We have teamed up with PT Sigred, which has been successfuly developed gunung pongkor and kilian Gold Mine, to develop an effective, efficient, and systematic mining management system to deliver excellent products and services.
International Cooperation
The group is actively seek for new line of businesses. We have a divison to develop new business. The current proposals including Waste to Energy Power Plant, Large Electric Power Saver for Public Lighting, OffShore Coal Terminal, Coal Mining, and Manganese Mining.
